What you will actually do

  • Taking dictation and typing orders, letters and notes
  • Typing quasi-judicial orders and hearing records for Commissioners
  • Maintaining the officer's diary and files
  • Handling calls and visitors
  • Arranging meetings and tours

A typical day

You work with a Regional or Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner. Besides the usual dictation and scheduling, a good part of the work is typing orders from hearings held under the provident fund law, which have to be accurate because they are challenged in appeal. The workload follows the officer's hearing days and review meetings.
