  • The subsidy depends on whether you are in the general or special category and whether the unit is urban or rural.
  • Special categories include SC, ST, women, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities.
  • Only one person in a family (self and spouse) can apply. There is no income ceiling.
  • You cannot combine it with PMEGP for the same unit.

How to apply

  1. Apply on the state portal (maha-cmegp.gov.in) with a project report, Aadhaar, domicile, education and caste certificates where relevant.
  2. The District Industries Centre or KVIB scrutinises it and a district committee recommends it to the bank.
  3. After the bank sanctions the loan, complete the entrepreneurship training before release.
