A typical day
You work out of a village office under the Village Officer. Mornings bring applicants for land and income certificates; you go out to verify plots, houses and boundaries and report back. In the monsoon you are part of the first response for floods and landslides, listing damage and helping run relief camps. It is a mix of counter work and walking the village.
